Description
Discover a fascinating and decorative way to measure temperature with the Galileo Thermometer 27cm. Inspired by scientific principles associated with Galileo Galilei, this classic glass thermometer uses a series of colourful floating balls to indicate the surrounding temperature.
Inside the 27cm glass tube are five beautifully coloured liquid-filled balls of different densities. Each carries a temperature marker ranging from 18°C to 26°C. As the surrounding temperature changes, the balls rise and fall within the liquid, creating an eye-catching demonstration of density and temperature.
To read the thermometer, look for the lowest floating ball, which indicates the current temperature. As well as being functional, the colourful floating spheres make the Galileo Thermometer an attractive scientific curiosity for a desk, shelf, study or home display.
With no batteries or electronics required, this traditional thermometer provides an interesting demonstration of scientific principles while making a distinctive decorative piece.
Ideal for anyone interested in science, physics, unusual gadgets and traditional scientific instruments, the Galileo Thermometer makes an intriguing gift and conversation piece.
