Description

Build one of the most recognisable German fighter aircraft of the Second World War with the Airfix Messerschmitt Bf109F-4 1:72 Scale Starter Set, a detailed plastic model kit recreating the famous Luftwaffe fighter known as the Friedrich.

The Messerschmitt Bf109 was one of Germany’s principal fighter aircraft throughout the Second World War, undergoing continuous development to improve its speed, handling and combat performance. Introduced in 1941, the Bf109F series featured refined aerodynamics, rounded wingtips and a redesigned engine cowling, making it one of the most highly regarded versions of the aircraft.

This 1:72 scale Airfix Messerschmitt model kit captures the distinctive appearance of the Bf109F-4, allowing model makers to assemble and paint their own miniature replica. Featuring 30 plastic parts, the kit has been designed with straightforward construction in mind, making it an excellent introduction to military aircraft modelling.

As an Airfix Skill Level 1 Starter Set, the kit includes the essential materials needed to begin building, including acrylic paints, modelling glue, a paintbrush, decals and illustrated assembly instructions. Everything needed for basic assembly and painting is supplied, making it particularly suitable for those discovering the rewarding hobby of scale modelling.

Once completed, the Messerschmitt Bf109F-4 measures approximately 12.6cm long with a wingspan of 13.8cm, creating a compact display model for aviation enthusiasts and military history collectors. Building and painting the aircraft encourages patience, concentration, hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
